Here’s the first of Phlox Phlicker’s series on important astronomers. You’ll be surprised how one of Earth’s oldest sciences got started more as a religion and belief system. Watch this and you’ll find out how the planets got named, why a week has seven days and… well a lot of other cool stuff.
Here is an awesome example of students becoming teachers. A group of 4th and 5th graders created an 8 minute animated film illustrating the alphabet. They wrote, storyboarded and animated the entire film and then presented it to the K-2nd grade teachers at their school. Enjoy!
